Mmmmm, Yummy Bisphenol A!

This is very scary. (Thanks for the link, Amber.) For all current and soon-to-be parents, please consider something like this, okay?

Does the scary leaching thing apply to the single-use drop in liner system as well? We've used those because I'd heard the bottles were scary, and at least with that system you use it one time and are done with it. The liners have also allowed us to remove excess air from the bottle, which seemed like a good thing. Ah well, I have a feeling I'm going to have a lifetime of realizing the ways I've unwillingly and unwittingly damaged my child. Sounds like I ought to move on to the glass, now that he's 7 months old and been sucking down scary chems all the while... (yikes).
Hopefully he will survive all my mistakes and forgive me.

Talley, Suzie et all...I just looked for this is Snopes, and did not find any reference to it. Probably too new. Hope its wrong, but you are smart to be careful. I don't understand, are the nipples on the glass bottles made of something else that will not leach out this stuff??
Love,
Dad

One can get baby bottle nipples made of silicone which does not leach the same stuff.

Hey gang!

The laytex allergy is not a direct result of the Spina Bifida, but actually a result from the little tyke having a bunch of surgeries early on in life. There is a good chance (though not a negligible one) that Giggles won't have that allegry.

Do they make nalgene bottles? less chance of breakage vs. glass.
