I tried to post this last night but someone got hip to my game and squelched the wireless signal...
"As of about three hours ago, Millie has been released from the hospital and has come home! She seems to have slept soundly through her first car ride, nary a peep. She has nursed a few times, but is complaining a bit because it is more work than a bottle. But don't worry, we'll get her in tip top shape in no time! Momma and Poppa are positively beaming! Hold onto your hats, here we go!
I'll try and post some pics tomorrow if I can keep poaching this here wireless internet signal..."
And today Millie is off to her first pediatrician appointment and second car ride. (And she slept like a champ last night, which I can't say for her older cousin, Tank Insomniac.) Yay, Millie!!
Welcome to the wild and wonderful world of a bleeding heart liberal woman who has the world's cutest preschooler and too many hobbies.

Read All About It!
So for those of you on the edge of your seats waiting for news about Tank Cousin, here's the facts, Jack.
Millie Isabella Lach
born 12:16 pm April 16th
7 lbs 5 ozs
a perfectly pink and vocal little girl with a full mane of dark lovely hair that looks just like her momma!
As of today Momma Lach is recovering nicely and has enjoyed two whole meals of solid food, after a not so tempting breakfast of "clear liquid" broth and jello... Miss Millie has come through her first surgery with a very good prognosis, the spinal lesion is now closed, and as she heals the risk of infection becomes less and less.
You will notice that the title of this post is "read" all about it, as many people have taken many pictures of our beautiful new addition, but I am not one of them. As Momma Lach becomes healthier and hale-r I may try and sneak in and snap a few, but for now me luvrly sis needs me, and I am super happy to have a helping job to do.
So send all love-n-care vibes, thoughts, prayers, or juju to the proud mom, pop, and wee tot to the DC air waves and we'll be sure to harvest them all. Thank you, and good night!
Update!! Hey look, someone emailed me a picture! Oh so beautiful!

Throw Momma From The Train A Kiss
So I've been trying to figure out how to deal with a movie that was filmed vertically to avoid the crazy stretching we witnessed here. But honestly, after 3 hours and countless google searches, I'm throwing in the towel. So here he is, in all his stretched out glory, my son.
I love how ridiculously excited Poppa and I are. You'd think it was Shakespeare.
Oh, hey! Look at that, it just came out sideways instead of stretched. This is like someone's horrid home movies of their vacation to Paris isn't it? Well, smile and nod, and it will be done in a sec, okay?
And speaking of waving bye-bye, Tank Baby and I are making (yet another) Big Trip Back East for the scheduled arrival of Giggles. Wish me luck on not passing out in the operating room!
