So The Hub had to go back to work today. Big frowny face. The good news is that the road is (provisionally) open as of today. The bad news is that they are only letting traffic through at 6 am and then again at 6 pm. So here I am, just past the halfway mark and I'm still holding it together. Barely. The tot and I managed to stay pretty much asleep until 7:30am, which was pretty impressive, I thought. Then he was up a half an hour before taking another (well earned) nap. Not too bad! Then he cried for the next three and a half hours. (With brief breaks for nursing and 5 minute naps...) Yikes. He's either napping now, or just lulling me into a false sense of security before busting out with another howl session. Cross your fingers.
Jokes on me. He's up.

Have you seen the DVD "Happiest Baby on the Block"? I got it when Rhiannon was too old to swaddle, but it's supposedly miraculous - stopping crying withing seconds. I watched it and was amazed. If you don't have it, let me know, I'll hunt for it and send it ASAP!
Dear friend,
Mark and I are here in Rhode Island visiting family and reading your blog and laughing so hard my eyes are gushing. I am so happy for yo both! XXOO Steph and Mark
When you were preggers, you did remember to swallow a small ball, as instructed by Bill Cosby, didn't you? Well now is the payoff...get him a big ball to watch and laugh at! Simple...
Love,
Dad
Oh my, I wish I was there to help out in some small way, even if to just hug you and remind you that you are a terrific Mom! Aren't you glad you can stay home with him and not go to work in a sleepy haze? Have you tried some cool compresses on JT and some calming music? Could it be heat related? I know how cranky I get when I'm hot and sweaty. Just remember, you will get thru this!!!
Ohhhhh I feel your pain. I've been playing the "one day at a time" game...just get through today and tomorrow will probably be better.
